Favorite Frozen Yogurt

Real conversation in my living room:

  • Him: “Do we have anything for dessert?”
  • Me: “I have those frozen yogurt pops!”
  • Him: “Yogurt is not dessert.”

I beg to differ. If you haven’t tried Yasso Frozen Greek Yogurt Bars yet, you have no idea what you’re missing out on!

Protein and chocolate helps satisfy hunger AND cravings

Protein and chocolate helps satisfy hunger AND cravings

Greek yogurt is well known these days for its delightfully creamy texture and protein super punch (25% of what you need for the whole day in most cups!). I’m not saying yogurt is ice cream, because that’s just a terrible lie.

Yasso Bars are, however, the next best thing! If you’re trying to stay on track with your diet goals, these are a great option for your cold-and-creamy fix. They come in a variety of flavors ranging from berry or mint chocolate chip to, my personal favorite, chocolate fudge!

I like to think of them as grown up ‘fudgies’…

These have 6 grams of protein and only 80 calories for a hefty serving. Size-wise I’d compare it to one of those double stick fudgies from the ice cream truck. Since these have more protein and less fat than traditional ice cream, I think these are a totally rational treat that you can feel good about.

Yasso Bars are available at many commercial supermarkets. I’ve even seen them at Walmart! I like to get them on sale at a supermarket, or at my wholesale club (BJ’s). They can be a little pricey to buy otherwise, but around me they’re regularly on sale! I’m also willing to pay a little more money for food I can feel good about.

  1. I’ve been meaning to try these as I have heard these are delicious! And a much better ice cream treat for you. I see these go BOGO in my grocery store sometimes. Also, since I noticed you said you have a BJ’s membership, maybe you would be interested in sharing what you typically buy there? I have a membership as well and I’m always looking for ideas on what are healthy, money smart items to get there.
