roasted chickpeas


1 can chickpeas

1 tbsp. Olive oil

Salt & pepper to taste

I am a self proclaimed chickpea (aka garbanzo bean) addict. One of my favorite ways to eat chickpeas is roasted. It could not be any easier AND it satisfies my french fry/potato chip craving. The best part? It’s actually packed with protein to keep you full and help build muscles in your body.


Simply rinse and drain 1 can of chickpeas. In a bowl, toss the chickpeas in olive oil and whatever seasonings hit the spot for you! Salt and pepper is a nice basic recipe, but I also like to toss them in my favorite Greek seasoning blend or add in some cayenne pepper for kick. Once everything is coated, spread them on a piece of tin foil and pop them into a 375 oven (or toaster oven) for about 35 minutes. Warning: highly addictive. Actually- no warning, enjoy entirely!
