basic super green smoothie


1 handful baby kale and spinach blend

juice of 1 slice lemon

juice of 1 slice lime

¼ c. berries

½ banana

½ c. oats

1 c. green tea (or as needed for thinning)

Combine all ingredients and blend until smooth. NOTE: my bananas are usually frozen separately ahead of time. I also batch freeze a mixture of lemon, lime, berries, spinach, and kale into my weekly smoothie cubes in a muffin tin. For details, check out my post here.

**If you are new to drinking green smoothies, I’d recommend starting with less greens and more fruit. As you get used to the taste, slowly decrease the fruit and increase the vegetables.
